Public Art Community Pre-Survey
Guns2Gardens is an extension of the traveling exhibition “The Nature of Healing”. We commission Michael Boyd Roman to work alongside four youth apprentices to design and install a public artwork that advocates for peace, safety, and healing. The project will also incorporate dismantled firearms through the Episcopal Church’s Guns to Gardens initiative, a national organization that transforms firearms turned into police departments into functional metal for use in artistic and practical applications.

How we work
We move people along a pathway—awareness → appreciation → relationship → investment—so creativity becomes a habit, not a moment. Our approach blends artist care, community listening, and clean, accessible design.
Why it matters
Art changes how a city feels about itself. We focus on economic opportunity for artists, culturally relevant storytelling, and public moments that make people say, “I belong here.”
